The Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) is a premier NCAA Division II athletic conference that competes on the local and national level. With its long and rich history, the GSAC is one of the most successful collegiate athletic conferences in the United States. Representing a total of nine institutions, the GSAC has teams competing in six different sports.
History of the GSAC
The GSAC was founded in 1994 and officially came into existence the following year. The conference’s first members included Biola University, Azusa Pacific University, California Baptist University, Fresno Pacific University, La Sierra University, Point Loma Nazarene University, the University of Antelope Valley, Western Baptist College, and San Diego Christian College. Since its inception, the GSAC has been committed to providing student-athletes with an outstanding athletic experience.

Rivalries Within The Conference
Given its long-standing history, the GSAC has cultivated many strong rivalries between its member institutions. The most intense rivalries are those between traditional powers Azusa Pacific and Biola University in basketball, soccer, and softball; and between Fresno Pacific and Point Loma Nazarene in volleyball.
