New York Section AWWA Academic Dedication Scholarship

Amount: $1,000. About: Offered by the New York Section American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA), the Academic Dedication Scholarship encourages high school seniors and freshmen currently enrolled at a college/university to pursue a degree related to the water industry or pursuing an environmental degree. Applicants must be a high school senior who has been accepted, or a college freshman currently enrolled, at a four-year college/university pursuing a degree related to the water industry. Applicants must show interest in the water industry or in pursuing an environmental career (e.g., school research, internship, job, other) and be a New York State resident or attending school at an accredited New York State college or university. NYSAWWA will also consider applicants who have demonstrated participation in the community and future leadership potential and weigh an applicant’s extracurricular activities such as participation in student chapters of professional societies and summer work experience in the water industry.

Minimum GPA: No GPA requirement
