Amount: $25,000. About: The Horatio Alger National Scholarship is designed to support college-bound high school seniors who have overcome significant obstacles. Each applicant must be enrolled full-time as a high school junior in the United States, have plans to enter a college or university following high school graduation, demonstrate critical financial need, be involved in co-curricular and community service activities, be a U.S. citizen, and meet a minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Application opens on December 1 annually.
