Callender-Pritchard Legacy Scholarship

Amount: Varies. About: The Callender-Pritchard Legacy Scholarship is an annual award by the NANBPWC, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of Black women in business. Applicants must be an African American high school senior or recent high school graduate; have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale by February 1; preferably major in Political Science, Sociology, or Black Studies; complete the scholarship application form online; and submit a typed essay of 300-500 words on the topic: “Throughout the history of the United States, there have been numerous movements to keep certain groups from voting. Recently the John R. Lewis Advanced Voting Rights Act of 2021 is being considered in the U. S. Congress. In your opinion, why is the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act important?”
