Brown and Caldwell Navajo Nation Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 per year for up to 4 years. About: Each year, Brown and Caldwell, an engineering consulting firm focused on the U.S. environmental sector, awards the Navajo Nation Scholarship to encourage and support students who are enrolled members of the Navajo Nation and have a desire to improve our world by developing their skills and knowledge in preparation for a career in the environmental profession. The winning students earn awards of $1,000 for up to four (4) years of schooling (for a total of $4,000) plus a laptop computer or tablet in their first award year. The awards are renewable only if the winners continue to meet the eligibility criteria..Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; be a full-time student enrolled at an accredited two-year junior or four-year undergraduate college, or a senior in high school with a letter of acceptance from the college or university to be attended; have or intend to declare a major in civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. geology, hydrogeology, ecology); meet a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale); and be an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation.
Eligible Grade Levels: High School Senior, College Freshman, College Sophomore, College Junior, College Senior
Eligible Majors: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Ecology
Residency Requirement: No residency requirement
Minimum GPA: 3.0
