Fire Family Foundation Scholarships – $5,000

The Fire Family Foundation offers 10 $5,000 scholarships to the children of firefighters every year. Applicants must be the biological or adopted child of any active, retired or fallen firefighter within the United States; be a senior in high school or over the age of 16 with a GED, or currently enrolled in a community college, university as an undergraduate or trade school; have a current minimum 3.2 GPA; be under the age of 26; and be either a candidate for an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university, or a full-time or part-time student at an educational organization that is nationally accredited and legally authorized to offer the educational program, including vocational schools.

Navajo Nation Scholarship – Varies

The Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship & Financial Assistance (ONNSFA) offers several scholarships to students who are members of the Navajo Nation to help them pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees. The Financial Need-Based Award of $2,500 per term is offered to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The No-Need-Based Award of $1,000 per term is offered to undergraduate students without considering financial need. The Chief Manuelito Scholarship of $3,500 per term is a merit-based scholarship for high-achieving high school graduates who meet a GPA and commensurate ACT score requirement, as well as undergraduate students who meet a minimum 3.0 GPA. Point Foundation BIPOC Scholarship – Up to $1,500

Offered by the Point Foundation, the Point BIPOC Scholarship supports Black, Indigenous, and People of Color students who also identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students. In addition to financial support, Point BIPOC scholarship recipients receive community resources and professional development. The foundation assesses applicants on many factors, including financial need or independence, personal history, academic achievement, community involvement, and work experience. To qualify, students must identify as a member of the BIPOC community and LGBTQ, be enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited community college, four-year college/university, or graduate program in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and be enrolled full-time or part-time (six credits) for the funded term. Society of Women Engineers Scholarships – $3,250

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) offers scholarships to women studying toward careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science. Applicants must identify as a female/woman and be enrolled full-time in an ABET-accredited program. Some non-traditional and re-entry students may qualify as part-time students.

Live Better U – Full tuition and books

The Walmart Foundation no longer offers the Walmart Associate Program and the Walmart Dependent Program as of February 1, 2021. Instead, Walmart will pay 100% of tuition and books for associates through its Live Better U (LBU) education program, so part-time and full-time Walmart and Sam’s Club associates in the United States can earn a high school diploma, take college prep courses, earn a college degree, or earn professional certificates without incurring education debt. The program excludes temp associates, associates with a prior bachelor’s degree, and salaried associates who fall into the market level and above. Eligible associates qualify for the program on their first day of employment.

ACB Scholarship Program – Up to $7,500

The American Council of the Blind (ACB) and the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) have now partnered together to offer educational scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $7,500 to students attending technical colleges and to students pursuing both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Offered by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) Foundation, the American Express Scholarship was established by American Express in 1994 to support current lodging employees and their dependents. Applicants must be enrolled, full-time or part-time, in a U.S. college or university, and be either (a) working a minimum of 20 hours per week at an AHLA member hotel with at least 12 months’ hotel experience or (b) be a dependent of a qualified employee and have past employment in some capacity in the hospitality industry. Banks Brown Graduate Scholarship – $5,000

Offered by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) Foundation, the Banks Brown Graduate Scholarship awards $5,000 to graduate students. Applicants must be enrolled, full-time or part-time, in a U.S. college or university; be pursuing a hospitality-related graduate degree or, if the graduate degree is in anything other than a hospitality-related program, possess either an undergraduate degree in hospitality or four years’ employment in the lodging industry after graduation; meet a minimum overall GPA of 3.0; and be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.

Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship – $10,000

Offered by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship is awarded to part-time graduate students who work in government with a career interest in state and local government finance. Administered by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education and offered by KnowBe4, Inc., a company that provides security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, the Knowbe4 Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship awards up to $13,000 ($10,000 to be applied to tuition, fees, books, and electronics and up to $3,000 to on-campus housing) to women interested in pursuing careers in cybersecurity. Administered by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education, the Raytheon Intelligence & Space Underrepresented Minorities in Cybersecurity Scholarship is annually awarded to three students from historically underrepresented minorities in STEM. Applicants must belong to a historically underrepresented minority in STEM, including but not limited to women, Black, Native American, Asian American & Pacific Islander, Hispanic, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities; be a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student (PhD students are excluded); be U.S. citizens; be pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, information security or similar field; meet a minimum 3.3 GPA requirement; be attending a college or university full-time or part-time; and be attending on-campus or online.

ISC Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarship – $1,000-$5,000

The ISC2 Women’s Cybersecurity Scholarship is annually awarded to female students pursuing careers in cyber security. The Center for Cyber Safety and Education will award up to 10 scholarships worth $1,000 to $5,000 to qualified students based on their academic and extracurricular achievements and career interest in cybersecurity. Applicants must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field; be pursuing an associate’s, undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate degree; meet a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale); be attending on campus or online; and be attending university in the United States or internationally full-time or part-time. Administered by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education and offered by KnowBe4, Inc., a company that provides security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, the Knowbe4 Black Americans in Cybersecurity Scholarship awards up to $13,000 ($10,000 to be applied to tuition, fees, books, and electronics and up to $3,000 to on-campus housing) to Black students interested in pursuing careers in cybersecurity. Applicants must be (a) honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel; (b) be current or former service in the National Guard or Reserve; or (c) be the spouse, or surviving spouse, of active or honorably discharged Military, Veteran, Guard, or Reserve. The ISC Undergraduate/Associate Cybersecurity Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors and current undergraduates who are studying toward a degree related to cybersecurity or information assurance. The Center for Cyber Safety and Education will award up to 20 scholarships worth $1,000 to $5,000 to qualified students based on their academic and extracurricular achievements and career interest in cybersecurity. Applicants must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field in the upcoming fall semester; be pursuing an associate’s or undergraduate degree; meet a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or an analogous rank based on a comparable scale); be attending on campus or online; and be attending universities in the United States or Internationally full-time or part-time. Applicants may be a U.S. citizen or the citizen of any other country.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation – Up to $40,000 (over 4 years)

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF) provides need-based scholarships to military children to support them in their pursuit of an associate’s or undergraduate degree or a non-degree career and technical certificate program. To date, MCSF has awarded scholarships worth nearly $185 million in honor of Marines. To qualify, applicants must be the child or step-child of (i) an active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Marine, (ii) a Marine killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, or (iii) an active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Navy Corpsman, Navy Chaplain or Religious Program Specialist, who is or was attached to a U.S. Marine Corps unit or who was killed while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit; meet a cumulative GPA of 2.0; and meet the income threshold. Women in Technology Scholarship — Australia – AU$10,000

Launched in 2010, the Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship — Australia supports and celebrates women who are beginning careers in technology. Scholarship recipients will receive a cash award and will be invited to participate in the company’s virtual professional development program, designed to prepare them to successfully launch their careers in technology. Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation – $1,000-$5,000 per year (for up to 4 years)

The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation awards annual renewable scholarships to both full-and part-time students. Eligibility criteria varies slightly depending on if you are a full-or part-time student. By 2024, the program will award nearly 800 scholarships totaling $1.95 million. Applicants must be in good academic standing, but at risk of not returning to or graduating/completing due to an outstanding financial need, and/or emergency situation that leads to a financial aid crisis. Each year, the Spencer Educational Foundation offers Part-Time Master’s Scholarships to graduate students interested in risk management or insurance.
