About this internship
WTW is hiring an Early Careers Actuarial Intern (Property & Casualty) within its Insurance Consulting & Technology group in Arlington, VA, with a hybrid work model. You’ll likely support consulting work that blends quantitative analysis with client service, drawing on coursework in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a similarly quantitative major. Pay is listed at $35–$40 per hour, and candidates must be able to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.
Qualifications
Required
- Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or any other major with significant quantitative course work with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Work or extracurricular experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills and leadership
Nice to have
- Progress toward actuarial exams or actuarial coursework that demonstrates commitment to the field
- Comfort working with quantitative data and explaining results clearly in writing and conversation
- Experience from campus organizations, projects, or part-time roles that shows client service, teamwork, or leadership
- A strong academic record in quantitative classes, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setting in Arlington, VA and collaborate with colleagues both in person and remotely
