TikTok is hiring a Software Engineer Intern (Agentic AI Engine – Data Management platform) for Summer 2026 in San Jose, CA, and this role is on site. Qualifications
Required
- Pursuing an Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Proficiency in common big data processing systems like Spark/Flink at the source code level is required, with a preference for experience in customizing or extending these systems.
Nice to have
- Experience customizing or extending big data processing systems such as Spark or Flink.
- Comfort reading and working with large codebases at the source code level.
- Coursework or project experience related to data platforms, data management, or distributed systems.
- Strong debugging skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing performance or reliability issues.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly with teammates in an on-site environment.
