About this internship
The Wall Street Journal is hiring an Intern, Youtube to support digital video efforts within a finance and financial services news environment. This on-site internship is based in NYC at 1211 Ave of the Americas and pays $16.50/hr. Youβll likely help with video production tasks and may contribute to research and writing for digital video.
Qualifications
Required
- A strong interest in video production and digital media
- Basic experience with DSLR cameras and Premiere Pro (Photoshop is a plus!)
- Interest in researching and writing for digital video
Nice to have
- Comfort assisting with video shoots, including basic setup, media handling, and keeping footage organized.
- Familiarity with common YouTube video formats and an eye for what makes digital videos clear and engaging.
- Ability to take rough edits in Premiere Pro and apply straightforward revisions based on feedback.
- Basic photo or thumbnail prep skills in Photoshop (or willingness to learn the basics).
- Strong attention to detail when researching and fact-checking information for video scripts.
