About this internship
Tesla is hiring a Software QA Engineer intern for Vehicle Software for Winter/Spring 2026, based on-site in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you’ll likely support software testing efforts, contribute to automation scripting, and help with test framework design in an Agile environment. The pay range is $40–$56 per hour, and the role is intended for students pursuing a Computer Science (or related) degree with a 2026–2027 graduation date.
Qualifications
Required
- Pursuing a Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date between 2026 – 2027
- Experience in software testing, automation scripting (Python, C++, or similar), and test framework design
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Nice to have
- Comfort writing clear, reproducible bug reports and test case documentation.
- Experience collaborating with engineers to validate fixes and prevent regressions.
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining automated test suites over time.
- Attention to detail when reviewing test results, logs, and failure patterns.
- Ability to communicate testing status and risks clearly in an Agile workflow.
