Oracle is hiring for an Advanced Degree Software Engineer role designed for full-time intern conversion, based in the United States with a remote work model. The position is in the data governance and data management industry, with a listed salary range of $74K 3K 158K per year. You ll be a fit if you will have completed a Master s degree or PhD in Computer Science (or an equivalent science/engineering field) by August 2026 and can code independently in at least one listed language.
Qualifications
Required
- Have graduated with a Masterβs degree or PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field by August 2026.
- Are proficient (i.e., able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in one or more of these programming languages: Java, Python, C, C#, C++, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, Scala.
- Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research in 3 or more of the following: Algorithms and Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Database, Machine Learning, Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Software Programming, Web Development, Micro-Services Architecture, Container Architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), User Interface Design.
Nice to have
- Comfort translating research, coursework, or project work into working software features and iterating based on results.
- Experience collaborating remotely on coding projects (for example, through class teams, research groups, or internships).
- Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly, such as data structure choices, performance considerations, or system design decisions.
- Familiarity with building and testing small services or components as part of a larger system, based on your projects or coursework.
- Strong problem-solving habits, such as writing clear documentation, debugging systematically, and validating solutions with tests.
