About this internship
As a Tax Seasonal Intern in Business Tax Services with KPMG US (Winter 2027), you’ll be based on site in Sacramento, CA. This role is designed for students pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a related field such as business, accounting, finance, taxation, or other quantitative and analytics-focused programs. You’ll likely apply critical thinking and a quality service mindset while working with MS Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Qualifications
Required
- Enrolled in university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Masters in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems), or equivalent program
- Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business (the state in which the office is located) for this position (completion of academic credits required prior to starting as a Tax Associate)
- Demonstrated quality service mindset
- strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Nice to have
- Progress toward meeting the CPA licensure education requirements in the state where the office is located before starting as a Tax Associate.
- Comfort using Excel for organizing data and building clear, accurate workpapers.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to proofread numbers and written deliverables before sharing.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating in an on-site setting.
- Time-management skills to balance multiple tasks and deadlines during a seasonal assignment.
