About this internship

KPMG US is hiring a Tax Intern in Business Tax Services (Korean Practice) for Summer 2026 in Los Angeles, CA with an on-site work model. This internship is geared toward students pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in fields such as accounting, finance, taxation, or other related quantitative or technical programs. The role is intended for candidates working toward CPA licensure academic requirements in the state where the office is located, with the expectation that you’ll still have additional credits to complete after the internship.

Qualifications

Required

  • Enrolled in university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Masters in accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems), or equivalent program
  • Pursuing educational requirements for CPA licensure in the principal place of business (the state in which the office is located) for this position (completion of academic credits required prior to starting as a Tax Associate)
  • Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements

Nice to have

  • Interest in business tax services and a willingness to learn how tax work supports client businesses.
  • Coursework exposure to accounting, taxation, finance, or quantitative analysis that you can apply to internship assignments.
  • Comfort working with data and analytics concepts from classes (e.g., organizing, checking, and interpreting data).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating in an on-site office environment.
  • Ability to manage deadlines alongside ongoing university coursework and remaining CPA-related credit requirements.
