Hormel Foods is hiring Retail Sales Interns for Summer 2026, based on site in Austin, Minnesota, within the food processing and manufacturing industry. You’ll likely support retail sales-related work while meeting internship eligibility requirements, including being on track to graduate between August 2026 and May 2027. This role requires access to and/or use of a personal motor vehicle, with a company benefit provided when a personal vehicle is used for the role. Pay is listed at $24–$24 per hour.
Qualifications
Required
- This position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle. In the case of personal vehicle utilization for the role, a company benefit will be provided.
- Must graduate in August 2026, December 2026, May 2027 and major in Marketing, Professional Selling, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management or relevant degree program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
- Must have the ability to drive a reliable vehicle in various settings, including in metropolitan areas and in all types of weather conditions.
Nice to have
- Coursework or hands-on experience that supports a Marketing, Professional Selling, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Hospitality, or Hotel/Restaurant Management major (or a related degree program).
- A track record of maintaining a strong academic performance (a 3.0+ cumulative GPA is preferred).
- Comfort driving a reliable vehicle in metropolitan areas and adapting to changing road and weather conditions.
- Good time-management skills to balance on-site responsibilities with travel between locations as needed.
- Clear, professional communication skills for interacting in a sales-focused environment.
