- Proficient with security technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, advanced encryption standards).
Nice to have
- Coursework or project experience in cybersecurity operations, network defense, or incident response.
- Familiarity with common security monitoring and detection concepts, including how IDS/IPS alerts are generated and investigated.
- Hands-on practice applying encryption fundamentals (e.g., understanding advanced encryption standards) in academic or lab settings.
- Comfort communicating technical security concepts clearly in writing and in conversations with teammates.
- Strong organizational skills to track investigations, document findings, and follow standard processes in an on-site environment.
