About this internship
CBIZ is seeking a Tax Intern for its Alternative Investment Group for Spring 2027 in New York, NY (on-site). In this role, youβll likely support tax-related research, compliance, and project coordination while applying knowledge of GAAP and tax codes and regulations. The internship pays $20β$40 per hour and is open to students working toward a Bachelorβs degree who can communicate effectively across different levels of an organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and tax project management skills, including knowledge of GAAP, Taxation compliance, codes and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally

- Comfort collaborating in person in an on-site office environment.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing tax documentation and compliance-related information.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and timelines while supporting tax project management.
- Curiosity and initiative in researching tax questions and summarizing findings clearly.
- Professional, client-ready written communication for emails, notes, and internal updates.
