About this internship
Cargill is hiring a Mining Engineer Co-op for May 2026, with multiple U.S. locations and an on-site work model (listed location: Minneapolis, MN). This co-op is geared toward students pursuing Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree expected to be completed between December 2026 and May 2029. Qualifications
Required
- Be able to work in an underground environment
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or a Mining Engineering (MinE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Industrial Engineering (IE), or other related engineering discipline
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree to be/recently completed between December 2026 – May 2029
Nice to have
- Comfort working safely in an underground environment and following site procedures.
- Coursework or project experience related to mining, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering concepts.
- Willingness to work on-site at one of multiple U.S. locations, including the listed Minneapolis, MN area.
- Ability to communicate clearly with engineers and site personnel in a hands-on work setting.
- Interest in applying engineering skills within an agriculture, food, and beverage company environment.
