Cargill (Agriculture, Food and Beverage) is hiring a Mining Engineer Co-op for January 2026, with multiple locations listed and an on-site opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio. The role is intended for students pursuing a bachelor’s in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, with a bachelor’s/master’s degree expected to be completed between December 2026 and May 2029. Candidates should be able to work in an underground environment, and the pay range is $25–$35 per hour.
Qualifications
Required
- Be able to work in an underground environment
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or a Mining Engineering (MinE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Industrial Engineering (IE), or other related engineering discipline
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree to be/recently completed between December 2026 – May 2029
Nice to have
- Comfort working on-site and following safety procedures in underground environments.
- Coursework or projects that show applied engineering problem-solving in mining or industrial settings.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for coordinating with on-site personnel.
