PepsiCo Foundation S.M.I.L.E. Scholarship

Amount: $25,000. About: Aimed at helping students from designated community colleges transition to four-year colleges, the PepsiCo Foundation S.M.I.L.E. (Success Matters in Life & Education) Scholarship program is a need-based scholarship. Each year, the program awards up to 50 scholarships in the amount of $25,000 each to qualified students attending one of these community colleges: Westchester Community College (Valhalla, NY), Dallas College (Dallas, TX), City Colleges of Chicago (Chicago, IL), Valencia College (Orlando, FL), Community College of Denver (Denver, CO), Community College of Aurora (Denver, CO), or Front Range Community College (Denver, CO). Applicants must identify as a member of an underserved community, have experience in living or working in diverse environments, be a first-generation college student, be a socioeconomically disadvantaged student, have overcome substantial educational or economic obstacles, or be a member of one or more organizations that support literacy in primary education. Additionally, they must plan on enrolling full-time in an undergraduate business or STEM program at an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year; meet a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent); and meet other eligibility requirements. Awards are renewable for one additional year if recipients meet the renewal criteria.
