Each year, the Perryman Family Foundation awards scholarships to students in full-time science, technology, engineering, and mathematics trade school programs, with examples including welding, machining, mechatronics, networking, and automation. To qualify, applicants must be a U.S. citizen; a current or prospective student pursuing a full-time program in an eligible program of study; not be affiliated with the Perryman Company or Perryman Family Foundation through board service, current employment, or close relatives; and currently live in one of the listed eligible counties located in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, Northern West Virginia, Northern Virginia, Western Maryland, or Chautauqua County, New York. Preference is given to applicants who attend, or plan to attend, a trade school or program located in one of the eligible counties on the list; have completed no more than five years of undergraduate studies; have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (for high school graduates); and provide a high school diploma or similar credential, such as a GED or a federally approved “Ability to Benefit” Test.

Eligible Majors: Nursing
Residency Requirement: Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia
Minimum GPA: 3.0 (2-year program), 2.5 for (18-month or 2-year program)
Deadline: March 30, 2026 (4-year programs), May 1, 2026 (18-month and 2-year programs)
