Family Empowerment Scholarship Educational Options

Amount: Varies. About: The Family Empowerment Scholarship Educational Options (FES EO) is one of two pathways provided by the Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) to empower families and children in Florida to achieve their educational goals. FES EO is available to Florida K-12 students, who can choose to receive financial assistance in one of two ways. First, the student can choose to attend an approved private school and receive financial assistance toward their private school tuition and fees. The maximum scholarship amount is based upon the student’s grade level and county of residence — the average award was $7,950 in the 2023-24 school year. Secondly, the student can choose to attend a public school outside of their school district and receive a $750 scholarship to cover their transportation to a public school in and out of their school district (if free transportation is not provided). Eligible families can apply for the scholarship and annually renew) through an approved scholarship funding organizations (SFO) responsible for determining and distributing funding under the program.
