C. Michael Elliott Graduate Scholarship

Amount: $2,000. About: The C. Michael Elliott Graduate Scholarship is a $2,000 award for graduate students enrolled full-time in a program of study in the water supply field that leads to a Master’s or higher degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. The New York Section American Water Works Association (NYSAWWA) will give preference to applicants whose courses of study are considered to be beneficial to water works practice in New York State (e.g., engineering design, utility management regulation, or treatment plant operation). Applicants must be currently enrolled as a full-time graduate student at an accredited college or university in the United States. NYSAWWA will also consider an applicant’s course work in areas related to a career in the drinking water supply field and interest in water supply related research and weigh an applicant’s student’s extracurricular activities such as participation in student chapters of professional societies and work experience in the drinking water supply field. While there is no minimum GPA requirement, academic achievement is a major factor in the selection process.
