Burgers — Founding Fathers DC and Burger Tap & Shake Foggy Bottom are good burger joint options.

Chinese — Check out Ching Ching Cha or Great Wall Szechuan House for some reasonably priced Chinese food.

Ethiopian — Ethiopic is your go-to for genuine Ethiopian cuisine. For another option, check out Kokeb Ethiopian Restaurant

Mexican — For your usual Tex-Mex fare, try Tortilla Cafe and Cactus Cantina.

American — Go to Ardeo + Bardeo to find enough options to please even the most picky eaters in your group; Stoney’s Lounge for an amazing grilled cheese; the pig for everything pork; and Busboys and Poets for the nostalgic all-American atmosphere.

Sandwiches — The cleverly named Woodward Takeout Food makes some great sandwiches. Other options include SUNdeVICH and Bub and Pop’s.
