For the second year in a row, MacKenzie-Childs supports this scholarship to encourage individuals to pursue their dreams and develop their abilities in the fields of design and the applied arts.

Scholarship Amount: $5,000 scholarship to be awarded (4 awards)

Eligible Recipients: Black high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who are pursuing higher education in any U.S. college or university.

Scholarship Prompt: At MacKenzie-Childs, we find inspiration for the things we design by observing nature, in the history of the decorative arts, and how people from every culture style their home environments. We know inspiration can come from anywhere, and we’d like to know what inspires you. To enter, students should write an essay of 750 words or more on where you find inspiration for your art and creativity, and how you see that shaping your future.
