For those of you majoring in the arts in college, there is a wonderful way to earn $1,000. Simply turn in a video illustrating your artistic abilities and answer a short essay prompt for your chance to win!

Create a short video showcasing your talents in the performing arts, then write a short essay answering a prompt question. 

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in a US college, university, or trade school.
• Current undergraduate majoring in dance, theater, music, performing arts or related field.
• Must have minimum GPA of 3.0

How to Apply

• Create a video showcasing your talents in the performing arts. Videos must be no longer than 2 minutes. Put the video on YouTube or some other video channel and provide the link (do not put video file as an email attachment).
• Write a short 200-500 word essay on one of the following topics:
  • How does your pursuit of excellence in the performing arts help create a positive impact in the world?
  • How have the performing arts helped you overcome obstacles in your life?
• Email the following materials to scholarship@bellaballroom.com.
  • Full name, email, phone number, mailing address
  • University name, major, year to graduate
  • College transcript
  • 200-500 word essay
  • Link to performance video

Quick Tips

• Although your video doesn’t have to be a professional production, it does need to look professional. Put your best foot forward (so to speak) with a well-edited video.
• Promote your video on social media and alert all your friends so they can comment/like!
• Proofread your essay carefully and have someone else read it over.
• Make sure you answer your chosen essay prompt clearly and completely. Answer the actual question, do not go off on tangents or provide unnecessary information!
• Make sure your video is under 2 minutes. Any submissions over the limit will be disqualified.
