To qualify, applicants must be either a student attending school in NY, NJ, or CT or be a college undergraduate or graduate student who is a U. S. citizen or legal permanent resident living in one of these states, unless otherwise specified in an individual scholarship\u2019s criteria. Additionally, applicants ages 18-26 must be a member of NYWICI via the complementary Rising Star membership. Applicants ages 27+ are encouraged, but not required, to be a NYWICI member. Applicants must: (i) be majoring, planning to declare a major, or pursuing an advanced degree in a communications-related field (including but not limited to advertising, broadcasting, communications, digital media, English, film, journalism, marketing, public relations, or publishing) at a U.S. accredited college\/university; (ii) have an overall GPA of 3.2 (or 87%) or better; and (iii) be available for a virtual interview with timing TBD.
