About: <\/strong>
\n The Burger King Foundation offers the James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship to graduating high school seniors in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Guam. It is also open to Burger King employees and their spouses, domestic, partners, and children in these same geographic areas. Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen; be a senior at a high school or home school in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam or Canada; be applying as a full time freshman to an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada; meet a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 (4.0 scale or the equivalent); demonstrate an active leadership role in community service, athletics, and\/or similar co-curricular activity (such as student government, team sports, fraternal life, etc); and show substantial work experience and financial need. Applications are accepted through the scholarship portal online. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and the first 50,000 applications will be considered. Applications open on October 15 each year.<\/p>\n
