Applicants must have, in the past or present, participated in a junior lifeguard program or have been employed as an open water lifeguard, and must &#8220;demonstrate a strong work ethic, independence, academic rigor and promise, athleticism, and service to the community.&#8221; Additionally, applicants must be college-bound high school seniors, or current undergraduate students, who will be enrolled as full-time students at a four-year institution for the upcoming year.
