Women face challenges in their higher education journey and career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women outnumber men<\/a> on college campuses and soon will represent the majority of the U.S. college-educated workforce<\/a>. But the gender gap is still far from closing. Furthermore, many women, including low-income women, minority women, older women, and women with children, face major financial, institutional, and situational barriers to earning a degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many organizations have recognized the unique challenges women face and have sought to redress these challenges through women-only scholarships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We highlight some of the best scholarships for women here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hyundai Women in STEM Scholarship<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hyundai is accepting applications for its Hyundai Women in STEM Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company will award five scholarships of $10,000 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To apply, those interested must write an essay of 500 words or more describing a tech project or initiative you envision in your chosen STEM field that addresses a real human need. Discuss how you would integrate empathy into your research and design process, how you\u2019d ensure inclusivity and accessibility, and the positive outcomes you foresee for individuals and communities when people remain the central focus of innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application Deadline:<\/strong> June 30 (annually)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award<\/strong>: $10,000 each (5 awards)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
