Student loan debt has hit an all-time high of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorkfed.org\/newsevents\/news\/research\/2022\/20220510\"> $1.59 trillion<\/a> in January 2022, and LGBTQ students are more likely to have high student debt. Nearly 40 percent of LGBTQ adults ages 18 to 40 have student debt in the form of federal student loans, private student loans from a bank or other lending institution, or from credit cards or other loans, <a href=\"https:\/\/williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu\/publications\/lgbtq-student-loan-debt\/\">according to a new study<\/a> conducted by the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law and the Point Foundation.
