Unlike traditional scholarships, the ASPSF scholarships can be used not just for educational expenses but also for household expenses, daycare costs, commuting expenses, and more while the students are in school. To qualify, applicants must live in the state of Arkansas or in Bowie County, Texas; be a single parent; be a legal resident of the United States (or a resident with DACA status) who\u2019s applying in the county where they live; have earned a high school diploma or GED; have not previously earned a bachelor\u2019s degree; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; have a household income that is typically not more than 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines; be attending or planning to attend an ASPSF-approved school or training program; be pursuing a degree or certification that leads to employment at family-supporting wages. Additionally, applicants who are not DACA students or those enrolled in an approved short-term training program must have completed or should be in the process of completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
