<\/div>\r\n\r\nAbout: <\/strong>\r\n The Governor\u2019s Distinguished Scholarship is a merit scholarship awarded by Arkansas to graduating high school seniors. Scholarship recipients will be awarded up to $10,000 per academic year for tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board and an annual stipend of $1,000 to use for textbooks and other academic expenses. Applicants must be an Arkansas resident; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien; be a graduating high school senior; have a minimum composite score or superscore of 32 on the ACT or a combined score of 1410 on a single SAT; have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5 or be named as a National Achievement Finalist or National Merit Finalist; and take at least 15 credits per semester (12 credits for the first semester is permitted). Applicants must also complete the FAFSA. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters so long as students maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA and complete at least 27 credit hours in freshman year (30 credits thereafter).\r\n\r\n
