Carper III Scholarship is an annual award by the NANBPWC, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the interests of Black women in business. Applicants must be an African American single mother (age 18-30); be a U.S. citizen; be a woman enrolled in an accredited college or university; major in STEM, Aviation, Political Science, Communications, or Business Management; complete the scholarship application form online; and submit a typed essay of 300 words on the topic: \u201c\u201cIn reflecting on the work environment of the three women portrayed in the movie, Hidden Figures, please explain how you believe that today\u2019s African American women are being given equal treatment in the workplace in recognition of her unique abilities and motivation.\u201d\r\n\r\n
