There’s no specific major requirement other than what’s noted in the Eligibility section below, and any additional requirements found on the Scholarship provider page.

Eligibility:



Applicants need to be a member of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion and have paid dues for the past two years. Applicants need to be a non-traditional student returning to school after interruption of formal education or a student has had at least one year of college and is in need of financial assistance. Recipients of the Legion Auxiliary Spirit of Youth Scholarship are not eligible. Scholarship award is based on academic acheivement, character/leadership, and initiative/goals.
