Promises Treatment Centers has been dedicated to helping young people and adults receive high quality treatment for more than 25 years. Each year, the center offers a $10,000 scholarship to be shared between 3 winners. Read on for information on how to apply!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a legal US resident.<\/li>\n<li>Must be at least 18 years old.<\/li>\n<li>Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted to enroll in a college or university in the US.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill out the online application form.<\/li>\n<li>Write a 500-word essay answering the following prompt:\n<ul>\n<li>Explain why describing someone as &#8220;addicted&#8221; rather than &#8220;an addict&#8221; is important to society in combatting addiction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>December 31<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prize:\u00a0<\/strong>One first place winner will receive a $6,000 scholarship, a second place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship, and a third place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quick Tips:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be personal and honest in your essay.
