The Jacoby & Meyers Latinx Community Scholarship<\/a> is now open for applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacoby & Meyers, a personal injury law firm in Los Angeles, launched the scholarship to support the LatinX community in California. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“At Jacoby & Meyers Injury Lawyers, we’re committed to ensuring everyone deserves justice and equality, including equal access to education,” said Michael Akiva, Managing Partner of Pre-Litigation. \u201cOur LatinX scholarship for 2024 embodies this belief, aiming to empower deserving individuals within the LatinX community to pursue their educational aspirations. Through this initiative, we strive to foster a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”<\/p>\n\n\n

The company will award $5,000 to the winning candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scholarship is open to high school seniors, as well as trade school and college students who are in their first or second year of studies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must be of LatinX descent, reside in California, be high school seniors or first- and second-year college\/trade school students, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and be actively involved in community service activities within the Latinx community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To apply, eligible students must write an essay of 350-500 words on how their Hispanic background influenced their goals for higher education and describe their commitment to making a positive impact through community service. Applicants also need to submit an unofficial copy of their transcript. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications must be submitted by October 15, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
