Today I&#8217;m here to share a very exciting opportunity with you to get your work published online and potentially included in retail storefronts! Not only would this be a great way to improve your portfolio, this contest also comes with a $1,000 award for the winner and a $250 award for the runner-up! The Student Design Competition Scholarship is your chance to share your art with the world, get noticed, and make money doing it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Produce an original art piece based on the theme ANIMALS\/WILDLIFE, and submit it along with a video or slideshow showing the step-by-step progress of your work.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Any graduating high school senior planning to major in art<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Any student artists currently enrolled (full or part-time) in an arts program at a college, trade school, or university<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Create an original piece of artwork of your medium of choice (pencil, paintbrush, finger-paints, etc) based off the theme ANIMALS with an emphasis on modern, abstract, contemporary or urban style.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Create a video or image slideshow of your piece, showcasing the various stages of production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Image Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">The design ultimately must be digital.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">File must be minimum of 300dpi at about 48&#8243;W x 24&#8243;H (DPI is in reference to how many dots per square inch are in the file).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">.ai or .eps file type preferred &#8211; .png or .jpg will work as long as the size and resolution is in compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Video Requirements\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Post your video on YouTube or Vimeo.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">The first line in the description of the video must be: www.moderncrowd.com Design Contest Submission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quick Tips<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Because there is not many requirements of what type of artwork you create, aside from following the theme, you have a lot of room to be creative and share your particular artistic flair.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the image\/video requirements.
