Prysmian Group<\/a>, an energy and telecom cable systems provider, is currently accepting applications for its 2023 Prysmian Group Women in STEM Scholarship<\/a> and Prysmian Group Sustainability Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company launched the program last year with a total award of $35,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the company is increasing its total award to $50,000 and adding a mentoring component to its Women in STEM Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications for both scholarships are due by June 15, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prysmian Group Women in STEM Scholarship <\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Prysmian Group Women in STEM Scholarship supports female STEM students in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBy intentionally focusing on women pursuing careers in STEM fields and partnering with those women with mentoring, we will ensure that the talent needed to create a more sustainable future is recognized. We continue to be the global leader in the development of manufacturers of sustainable energy,\u201d said Beth Harvey, head of People Development & Diversity at Prysmian Group North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company will award $2,500 scholarships to eight winners and provide them with virtual mentorship during their college years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scholarship is open to high school seniors and high school graduates who will be enrolled, as well as current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled, at an accredited U.S. college or university for the 2023-24 academic year. Applicants must reside in the United States, identify as female and be pursuing a STEM-related field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested students can apply either by posting on social media or writing a 500-word essay about why they have chosen to pursue a STEM-related <\/strong>field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prysmian Group Sustainability Scholarship<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Prysmian Group Sustainability Scholarship supports the company\u2019s U.S.- and Canada-based employees and their dependents and grandchildren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPrysmian Group prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion and is committed to creating a place where employees can thrive within the organization. We are focused on providing opportunities to our talent and investing in our people,\u201d said Harvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company will award $1,500 scholarships to 20 winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants for this scholarship must be high school seniors and high school graduates who will be enrolled, as well as current students enrolled, at a vocational or technical school and two- or four-year college or university in the United States or Canada for the 2023-24 academic year. They must also meet certain employment requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those interested can apply for the scholarship either by posting on social media or writing a 200-word essay about <\/em>which aspect of Prysmian\u2019s sustainability goals they are most passionate about and why. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
