Hey everyone! If you are anything like me, then you love exploring new places. One way to do this (without breaking the piggy bank) is by visiting museums and culture events wherever I go. This can be both fun and educational (pretty sure our professors would be proud!), especially when you bring along friends, a special someone, or even your family. So because of all this, I\u2019ve decided to share some ideas to help you broaden your horizons while you are in Philadelphia this summer. Bonus: you can totally brag about how cool it all was to everyone after!<\/span><\/p>\n

Let Freedom Ring<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Philadelphia has enormous historical significance to the U.S. and our vision of freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In honor of our country\u2019s heritage, here are some places that pay tribute to the origins of America and the ideals we hold dear. <\/span><\/p>\n

Independence Hall<\/span><\/a> – Free, but you must get timed tickets at Visitor Center<\/span><\/p>\n

One Liberty Observation Deck<\/span><\/a> – $19 admission<\/span><\/p>\n

National Constitution Center<\/span><\/a> – $13 general admission for students with ID<\/span><\/p>\n

Betsy Ross House<\/span><\/a> – $6 tickets for students with ID<\/span><\/p>\n

BYOH: Bring Your Own Headphones<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Music is everywhere! Here are some great concerts and music festivals hitting Philadelphia this summer for your maximum listening pleasure. <\/span><\/p>\n

40th Street Summer Series<\/span><\/a> – Free<\/span><\/p>\n

104.5 Block Parties at Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing<\/span><\/a> – Free<\/span><\/p>\n

Wawa Welcome America’s Philly 4th of July Jam<\/span><\/a> – Free<\/span><\/p>\n

Paint like Picasso <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Get your artist hat on and stare at a painting that looks like something a 3-year old could draw. (Ahem, sorry). Travel to these art museums and make a game of finding the worst pieces there. Or, be more optimistic and look for the best. Up to you. <\/span><\/p>\n
