Advanced Science Exploratory Program (ASciencePro) was born out of their desire to fuel and inform students\u2019 passion for science, offering them critical knowledge in successfully navigating their scientific careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ASciencePro\u2019s primary mission is to \u201cignite inspiration through information.\u201d Created specifically for students, the organization\u2019s seminars aim to promote the success of aspiring scientists through career mentorship, scientific foundations and research-focused content.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminars further the organization\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/our-mission\">mission<\/a> to \u201cactively diversify the field of scientific research\u201d by providing opportunities to students \u201cwho wouldn\u2019t otherwise have the resources required to pursue transformative scientific opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Science has been something I have always found interesting, but was never something I realized I was passionate about until I found research. I had very little exposure to, and knowledge of, what scientific research was about,\u201d Dr. Rolle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/our-mission\">explained<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI entered college with a view that since I liked science, my options were to \u2018wear a white coat and study chemicals, or \u2018become a medical doctor.\u2019 I had no idea what an incredible and rewarding career path awaited me on the other end of high school. Through this program, I hope to help build a new generation of passionate and prepared scientists by educating them about the brain, how we study the brain in research, and helping my students develop a skill set that will better situate them to actively succeed in this field,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Cammie-E-Rolle-738x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57612\" width=\"326\" height=\"453\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Image credit:<\/em> Cammie Rolle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ASciencePro currently relies on donations and paid seminar registration funding to carry out its mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Opening Up Scientific Research Opportunities for Students&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ASciencePro gives students both public and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/educationdivision\">school-based <\/a>opportunities to gain the skills, knowledge and professional networking and resources they need to succeed in their higher education pursuits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students learn from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/program-details\">seminar- and workshop-style courses<\/a> on professional and knowledge development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ASciencePro also offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/cc-editorials\">training opportunities<\/a> for students through its online scientific journal. Written for students by students, C&amp;C Editorials provides high schoolers with the opportunity to write and publish scientific articles under the direct mentorship of research scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To increase access to interested students, the organization encourages educators to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/scholarships\">nominate<\/a> students, who would benefit from attending one of its seminars, for scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, students who are interested in attending a seminar can apply <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/applyscholarship\">here<\/a> for income-based scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Students Can Support Advanced Science Exploratory Program&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>High school and college students can support ASciencePro by volunteering to expand its reach and open opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds, regions and interests. To volunteer, sign up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asciencepro.org\/openvolunteerpositions\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can also support the organization by joining its Science Journaling Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered as a Science Journalist Intern, students must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school and meet certain qualifications.
