There will be no multiple choice questions as there were in the past.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For free examples of free-response questions, check <a href=\"https:\/\/apcentral.collegeboard.org\/pdf\/ap19-frq-macroeconomics-set-1.pdf\">here<\/a> for the actual questions posed in the 2019 AP Macroeconomics exam and <a href=\"https:\/\/secure-media.collegeboard.org\/apc\/ap18-frq-macroeconomics.pdf\">here<\/a> for those posed in the 2018 AP Macroeconomics exam.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What device should I use to take the 2020 AP Macroeconomics exam?<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can take the exam on any device you have access to, including a computer, tablet or a smartphone. You should make the determination of which device works best for you beforehand.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are also allowed to submit a photo of your handwritten work.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What if I don\u2019t have internet access?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need access to the internet or a working computer, contact the College Board <a href=\"https:\/\/collegeboard.tfaforms.net\/74\">here<\/a> for help. The College Board is committed to making the 2020 AP Macroeconomics exam work for all students: \u201cWe recognize that the digital divide could prevent some low-income and rural students from participating. Working with partners, we will invest so that these students have the tools and connectivity they need to review AP content online and take the exam.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What will be tested on the 2020 AP Macroeconomics exam?&nbsp;<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be tested only on material from Units 1 through 5, so you should be prepared to answer questions on these topics:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Unit 1:<\/strong> Basic Economic Concepts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unit 2:<\/strong> Economic Indicators and the Business Cycle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unit 3:<\/strong> National Income and Price Determination&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unit 4:<\/strong> Financial Sector<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unit 5:<\/strong> Long-Run Consequences of Stabilization Policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What will not be tested on the 2020 AP Macroeconomics exam?<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You won\u2019t be tested on material from Unit 6: Open Economy &#8212; International Trade and Finance.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Are exam question types and sample questions available for the 2020 AP Macroeconomics exam?<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The AP Macroeconomics exam will consist of <strong>two<\/strong> questions. The first question seeks two short free-responses and the second seeks a long free-response. Check <a href=\"https:\/\/apcoronavirusupdates.collegeboard.org\/educators\/taking-the-exams\/ap-exam-schedule\">here<\/a> for a description of the questions.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will have 25 minutes to read and respond to the first question and five minutes to upload your response. Then you will have 15 minutes for the second question plus another five minutes to upload your response.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s the 2020 AP Macroeconomics exam date and time?<\/strong><br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The College Board is offering two exam dates for each AP exam this year.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AP Macroeconomics exam is scheduled for Thursday, May 21 at these times:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hawaii Time: 10 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alaska Time: 12 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pacific Time: 1 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mountain Time: 2 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Central Time: 3 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eastern Time: 4 p.m.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The AP Macroeconomics make-up exam will be held on Monday, June 1 at these times:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hawaii Time: 6 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alaska Time: 8 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pacific Time: 9 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mountain Time: 10 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Central Time: 11 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eastern Time: 12 p.m.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-pink-background-color has-background\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>Unless you have a scheduling conflict, you should plan on taking your AP Macroeconomics exam on the primary date.
