Eligible high school seniors have until February 19 to apply for their chance to win $1,500.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarships are administered by the Simon Youth Foundation, an organization of Simon Malls. High school seniors living near any U.S. community that is home to a Simon Mall, Mill or Premium Outlets Center are eligible to apply. Students must also demonstrate academic promise and financial need.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top ranking applicants will also have a chance to win an Award of Excellence, through which they would receive $2,500 in scholarship money each year for up to four years of college. However, to be eligible for an Award of Excellence, students must come from either Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis, Miami, New York\/New Jersey, Orange County (California), Orlando or Seattle\/Tacoma.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A handful of students may also be eligible for one of Simon\u2019s two other scholarships, which also stop accepting applications on February 19. One of them, the <a href=\"http:\/\/programs.applyists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2020-21-SYF-Academy-FAQ.pdf\">Simon Youth Academy Scholarship<\/a>, is reserved for those graduating from one of Simon\u2019s 37 nationwide youth academies. And the second, the <a href=\"http:\/\/programs.applyists.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2020-21-SYF-Greg-Saunders-Legacy-FAQ.pdf\">Simon Youth Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarship<\/a>, is for the children of those working at a Simon property.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, the Simon Youth Foundation awarded more than $1.6 million in scholarships to more than 400 graduating seniors. And over the past 20 years, the foundation has awarded more than $18 million to 5,000 students.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt Simon Youth Foundation, we are committed to helping students graduate and pursue their dreams through education,\u201d J. Michael Durnil, President and CEO of the Simon Youth Foundation, said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insidernj.com\/press-release\/simon-youth-foundation-launches-application-period-national-scholarship-program\/\">news release<\/a>. \u201cWe strongly believe that cost should not prevent students from furthering their education.
