Bookmark this page and check back each year!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[divider]<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If you&#8217;re a student who&#8217;s self employed then this scholarship could really help you!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Any undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program at any accredited American College, University or Trade School with self employment experience may apply. For purposes of this scholarship, self employment experience simply means that you or a business you started were paid directly for your work. Check out their examples of self employment on the scholarship website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Write a 750 to 1,500 word essay describing how your\u00a0experience working for yourself\u00a0as either a contractor or small business owner has impacted your\u00a0view of education and your future.<\/li>\n<li>Submit your essay as a Microsoft Word attachment to <a href=\"mailto:scholarship@choosewhat.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scholarship@choosewhat.com<\/a>. Use the subject line \u201cChooseWhat Scholarship Application.\u201d Do not put the essay directly in the email &#8211; only attached essays will be accepted. In the email, include the following information:\n<ul>\n<li>Your full name<\/li>\n<li>Name of school<\/li>\n<li>Anticipated Major<\/li>\n<li>Expected Graduation Date<\/li>\n<li>Type and dates of self employment (eg: Lawn maintenance, May\u00a02012- September 2012)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Amount:<\/strong> $1,000<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fall applications are accepted from April 2nd through November 1st.
