You will need to register, though, to apply for a position. Once you\u2019ve set up a profile, you will have access to a dashboard where you can manage your applications and even bookmark specific job listings. TUN also gives you the option to post a resume that you can choose to publish for everyone to see or opt to keep it so only the employers see it. If you are not comfortable posting a resume online, you can choose to submit a pdf version of your resume at the time you submit an application. Once you submit your application, employers will receive an email from TUN. They can then review your resume, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tun.com\/blog\/linkedin-job-search-for-college-students\/\">LinkedIn<\/a> profile, and any other documents you choose to include. Employers can then update your Application Status, so you will know right away if your application has been read, accepted, or rejected. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0When creating a profile on TUN, you have a choice of making your online resume public or keeping it private. If you are concerned about your social media profile from Facebook, Twitter, and so on, having a professional public profile on TUN is a great way for you to manage your reputation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are other job boards that can help college students find internships, but they are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as targeted. They are either job boards in the college market that also list entry-level jobs, or general job boards that will help anyone looking for a job.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<p>[adthrive-in-post-video-player video-id=&#8221;1KfzRy8z&#8221; upload-date=&#8221;2021-02-09T17:56:38.000Z&#8221; name=&#8221;How To Find Internships&#8221; description=&#8221;TUN sits down with V\u2019Rhaniku Haynes, the interim director of experiential learning at the University of Central Florida, to discuss how students can find internships.&#8221; player-type=&#8221;collapse&#8221; override-embed=&#8221;false&#8221;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b>Here is a brief summary of 11 of these broader job boards.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1.  <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.internships.com\/employer\/whyjoin\"><b><strong>I<\/strong>nternships.com<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Internships.com, which is part of Chegg, started out just helping with placement of interns, but now it also places college graduates for entry-level positions. It is partnering with Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for the purpose of connecting students with an interest in human resource with SHRM members. Students can register with Internships for free and search for jobs using their major, keywords, a specific location, and even a particular company. You can narrow your search to part-time\/full-time, paid\/unpaid, employer type (profit, non-profit, government). You can create a resume that\u2019s visible to employers once you submit your application. Internships.com does a good job of coaching students through the process of filling out their Internships resume by providing samples and helpful tips for each section. Students can also attach their actual resume to their profile so employers can view that as well. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebalance.com\/internships-com-1986707\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verify the application deadline<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the actual job description, as it appears that job posts past their deadlines may remain on the database and the application deadline that appears at the top of each listing may just state \u201cNone.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. <\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wayup.com\/\"><b>WayUp<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WayUp.com, formerly Campus Job, acts as a marketplace, connecting students in post-secondary school with companies and organizations that are looking to employ students in part-time or temporary positions. Students can use WayUp for FREE, but must register to apply for jobs. You can upload your resume and search jobs by category or location. You can narrow your filters by time of year, location, job type, and even industry to find the right opportunities for you. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Be sure to check the deadline and whether it\u2019s a part-time or full-time position.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/business.linkedin.com\/talent-solutions\/post-jobs\"><b><strong>L<\/strong>inkedIn<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who want to use LinkedIn need to set up a profile, which is a FREE service for students. Students with a free account <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/theundercoverrecruiter.com\/linkedin-job-seeker-premium-accounts-waste-money-or-fast-lane-success\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">may<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among other things, view 100 results per search, request up to 5 introductions at a time, and save up to 3 job searches and get weekly alerts on them. But students must pay a fee for <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/making-sense\/ask-the-headhunter-is-linkedin\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">premium membership<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> if they want to boost their application and have their application show up above the applications of non-premium members.<\/span> Check <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tun.com\/blog\/linkedin-job-search-for-college-students\/\">here<\/a> for more information on how to use LinkedIn for your job search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tun.com\/blog\/millennial-networking-linkedin\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LinkedIn is more a networking tool<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> than a job search engine. It works best if you have a strong LinkedIn profile, so you can make the most of networking opportunities available at LinkedIn.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. <\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.craigslist.org\/about\/sites\"><b><strong>Craigslist<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Craigslist is a little light on internship-type posts but is handy if you are looking to fill in for an event or small project. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Check out the gigs section for quick money. Many times employers need help for a party or other function and post the day of the event, so check often. But <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.consumer.ftc.gov\/articles\/job-scams\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">watch out for scams<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and do not disclose confidential information unless you have researched the company to ensure the job post is real. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.glassdoor.com\/post-job?src=b2b-jp-core-all-header-bn-postajob\"><b><strong>Glassdoor<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students can upload their resume for FREE at Glassdoor.com. The automatic search radius for jobs at Glassdoor is 25 miles, so students searching for a job in a specific location will see all jobs within 25 miles of their search location. Jobs are sorted based on relevancy to the job title, proximity to the job seeker, and date posted. You can narrow your search by the date posted, company rating, company name, and distance.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Glassdoor is unique in that it provides in-depth company profiles that includes anonymous reviews from current and former employees on company culture, salary, etc., which will help you determine if a company is for you. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.idealist.org\/login?to=%2Fpost-a-listing\"><b><strong>Idealist<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Idealist.org serves over 120,000 organizations in 130 countries and accepts job and internship postings from the government, nonprofit organizations, and other companies. Idealist also lists volunteer opportunities. Idealist classifies internships as paid and unpaid, which makes it easy to search. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Since Idealist is \u201call about connecting idealists &#8212; people who want to do good,\u201d it works best for students who are like-minded and searching for specific types of internships.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>7.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indeed.com\/hire\/location\"><b><strong>Indeed<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indeed.com is like Google for job search in that it also aggregates job postings from thousands of other sources, so you will be dealing with ads not just from Indeed but also from other sources. Students can use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tun.com\/blog\/indeed-job-search-for-college-students\/\">Indeed<\/a> for free. Indeed gives you the option to upload or build a resume online, which you can choose to make public or keep private. Indeed has an advanced search function that helps you pinpoint your job search. Indeed also offers a phone screening program, which is designed to let the employers know more about an applicant.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Since Indeed is also an aggregator, you may find yourself being redirected towards other sites for the application process, so it is not as convenient as other sites that allow you to apply with one click.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aftercollege.com\/employers\/\"><b><strong>AfterCollege<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AfterCollege.com helps with placement for entry-level jobs and \u00a0internships. Students can register for free and include an introductory video with their application.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can browse jobs by industry, category, and state.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> AfterCollege targets employers in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/survivingaftercollege.com\/aftercollege-review-will-it-land-you-a-job\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STEM, health care, and business<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so it\u2019s more helpful for job seekers looking for jobs in one of those 3 industries. Also, it appears that jobs that are no longer available may still show in the \u201cNow Hiring\u201d section, but they will be flagged as \u201cno longer available\u201d if that\u2019s the case.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/collegegrad.com\/post-a-job\"><b><strong>CollegeGrad<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CollegeGrad.com was set up to help college graduates with entry-level jobs but also has internships. Students can post their resumes for FREE and apply for jobs. You can search jobs by level, title, industry, location, and employer. You can also narrow your search by posted date and\/or relevance.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You can\u2019t use CollegeGrad if you are looking for unpaid internships, as it <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/collegegrad.com\/Employers\/Job-Posting-Guidelines\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">does not accept unpaid internship<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> postings.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>10.  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegerecruiter.com\/pricing\"><b><strong>CollegeRecruiter<\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CollegeRecruiter.com targets recent graduates, college students, and alumni. Students can register for FREE and apply for jobs. You can search for jobs using keywords and location. You can create job alerts and filter your search by location, company, and type of employment.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><b>Pro Tip:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> CollegeRecruiter works best if you are looking for an internship in very large companies or government agencies.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> According to information <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegerecruiter.com\/about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on its website, its \u201ccustomers are primarily Fortune 1,000 companies, federal government agencies, and other employers who want to hire dozens, hundreds, or thousands of students and recent graduates per year.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>11.   <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.findspark.com\/employers\/\"><b><strong>Fi<\/strong>ndSpark<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FindSpark.com, formerly <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NY Creative Interns<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, helps place students for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.findspark.com\/jobs\/page\/3\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">entry-level jobs, mid-level jobs, and internships in NYC and Chicago<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Students can become a general member for free and apply for jobs, receive Weekly Opportunities Newsletter, participate in virtual workshops etc. Students can also become a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.findspark.com\/premium\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">premium member<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for $5 per month, which will give them access to more services, including free registration to select events. (Recent graduates pay $7 per month for premium membership.)
