Then this scholarship might be for you!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Fair Inheritance Scholarship is open to all high school seniors, vocational students, college students, and all students in higher education who will be enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the school semester of Fall 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is a nationwide scholarship, open to all students who are legal residents of the United States. You must be currently living in the U.S. to qualify.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To ensure fairness, all employees of Hackard Law, their families, and household members are not allowed to apply to this scholarship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants should be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The candidate must fill out the form below with all necessary information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The candidate must submit a 750-1,000 word essay response to the prompt:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Disputes over inheritance often stem from a deeper question: What is fair? In the context of estate litigation, fairness may conflict with legal formalities, unequal relationships, or outdated documents. In your essay, examine the idea of fairness in inheritance \u2013 should assets be divided equally among children, or equitably based on need or contribution? How should courts handle wills that may reflect favoritism, coercion, or incapacity? Share your perspective on how the law can better address the human complexities of estate disputes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that all essays will be checked for AI writing. If AI writing is deemed present in the essay, the application will be denied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The candidate must submit a professional resum\u00e9 that lists their experience, both professional and academic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, as well as the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students can submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference will be given to students either from or attending secondary school in the state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recipient of the&nbsp;<strong>Cognitive Care Scholarship<\/strong>&nbsp;will be chosen during the month following the scholarship deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will not be available to answer scholarship-related questions by phone.
