Bookmark this page and check back each year!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[divider]<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>It&#8217;s time to start planning the future you want!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any student who will be enrolled in a college or University in the 50 U.S. states at the time of the next deadline can apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>Essay Requirements:<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>1) 1000 words or more.<\/p>\n<p>2) At the top of your essay, write\u00a0your\u00a0full name,\u00a0phone number, email address and the\u00a0name of the school\u00a0you\u00a0will be attending.<\/p>\n<p>3) Outline\u00a0at least 3 steps that you plan to take in the next year to start a path towards having a career that you love. As you think of these steps, consider some of these ideas: What are your passions that could be turned into a career? What are some ideas you have for a business based on things that you love and are skilled at?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>4) Interview a professional with\u00a0at least 3 years of experience in the field that you are looking into. Ask them at least 3 of the following questions and include the questions and answers as part of your essay:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>What initially inspired you to pursue the industry that you are currently in?<\/li>\n<li>What would be one important piece of advice for someone like me who is considering going into the field that you are in?<\/li>\n<li>What was the biggest hurdle that you encountered when you were first getting started in this field and how did you overcome it?<\/li>\n<li>What are some of the college courses that you took that had a lasting impact on your career?<\/li>\n<li>What are some aspects about your career that you didn&#8217;t know about or consider when you were starting out?<\/li>\n<li>What are some things I should be spending my time doing now outside of school to help prepare me for a career in this field?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Award Amount:\u00a0<\/strong>$1,000<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadlines:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Winter Semester: January 7th of each year<\/p>\n<p>Fall Semester: September 10th of each year<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Make your essay stand out!
