Burnham Sterling & Company is a boutique investment bank located on the water in Greenwich, CT (45 minutes north of New York City). The company focuses on lease and debt placement backed by commercial aircraft and works directly with airlines to finance their fleets of aircraft they acquire, as well as with the manufacturers themselves. Their customers are among the world’s largest corporations, such as Airbus, Avianca, Delta Airlines and Pratt & Whitney.

Burnham Sterling & Company is looking for Business, Finance, and Marketing students with an interest, knowledge or experience in aviation for Summer 2017. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively and take initiative when necessary. Students should also have the ability to multi-task and assume responsibility in a team-oriented environment. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) are desired. Studens must also be able to work on a full-time basis (35 – 45 hours per week) during July and August (schedule TBD), and be fluent in written and spoken English.

The candidate will support the team on a variety of projects for their clients as well as various duties to support the office generally. Candidates have the opportunity to develop industry knowledge and business experience working alongside seasoned professionals with experience from Airbus, Babcock & Brown, Bear Stearns, Citibank, and Deutsche Bank. For the right candidate, the opportunity may present itself to work for them on a full-time basis after graduation.
